Wexner Exits L Brands Board, 2 Women Added

Les Wexner is leaving the board of L Brands, the owner of Victoria’s Secret. The founder of the company had most recently served as chairman emeritus of the firm, after giving up the board chairmanship.

Replacing Wexner and his wife Abigail on the board are Francis A. Hondal and Danielle Lee. According to the company, “Hondal has more than 25 years of general management experience and is president of loyalty and engagement at Mastercard.”

“Lee is a strategic marketing executive with over 20 years of experience in brand building, media innovation and technology,” added L Brands. “She currently serves as chief fan officer for the National Basketball Association.”

“With these changes, in May 2021, the Board will consist of 10 directors, nine of whom are independent and six of whom are women (including the chair of the Board).”
