Daisy Celebrates 14th Anniversary

Daisy Corsets is celebrating its 14th anniversary this year. BODY associate publisher Ted Vayos interview the company’s Jennifer Reynolds.

VAYOS: Tell us about your brand.

REYNOLDS: Daisy Corsets is an inclusive brand, offering all of our styles in sizes XSmall to 6X. We currently have over 950 corset styles in stock, with a total catalog product offering of over 2,200 styles in stock. We pride ourselves in shipping orders the fastest in the industry. Since we stock everything in our catalog, we can ship orders within 24 hours. We also offer drop shipping for our entire line, with those orders also shipping within 24 hours.

VAYOS: Describe some of your latest product offerings.

REYNOLDS: Daisy Corsets is constantly coming out with new designs. We watch what is trending on a daily basis and design based on current trends in the market, as well as future and upcoming trends. We also take retailer feedback into consideration when designing new styles. If a retailer is getting a lot of requests for a specific color, fabric, or design, we have the ability to design and produce based on those recommendations. We are getting ready to launch a brand new collection to our retailers. Our new designs, which will be a part of our Lavish Collection, will feature lingerie-specific designs. Instead of our popular lace-up back corset design, these new styles will feature a hook and eye closure with stretchier fabrics in beautiful lace and mesh designs with many color options.

VAYOS: How is this unique to the other product offerings in this segment?

REYNOLDS: We have had a lot of requests for corsets and waist cinchers with a hook and eye closure, that lend themselves better for bedroom wear. In addition, we have kept this new line at a lower price point to capture the end consumer that is more price conscious.

VAYOS: What about wholesale pricing?

REYNOLDS: For our new collection, the wholesale price point will be $20-$28. For our regular Lavish line, our wholesale price point is $25-$50. And for our premium Top Drawer line, which features our fully steel boned corsets, our wholesale price point is $30-$75. Sizes range from XSmall-6X.

VAYOS: And retail prices?

REYNOLDS: Corsets are not only a beautiful lingerie or apparel piece, but they are also functional. This aspect alone allows retailers to sell our items at a premium. Our corsets retail for $50-$200+, depending on the style.

VAYOS: What are your most popular styles

REYNOLDS: Patent/PVC styles have been trending for several years now and are still going strong. Lace is always a top seller. And our new Burlesque corset range has been a top selling collection. Black is always the #1 seller. Red and Pink are top selling colors as well. Our new Black & Nude corset range has been a big hit, and we are developing a lot of new styles in this color combination. But we also have some more unique styles in colors like Teal and Purple that have been strong, consistent sellers over the years. Retailers love that we have a huge variety of colors available. We also love introducing corsets and waist cinchers in fun and different print designs. And often come out with new prints depending on what is trending. Our red roses print is timeless, and has been a consistent top seller. It’s very elegant and lends itself to both bedroom wear and outerwear.

VAYOS: Do you have a minimum order?

REYNOLDS: We do not! Retailers love that they can order just one of something if they need to bring in a special order for a customer.

VAYOS: How many stores are you currently selling your products?

REYNOLDS: Our line can be found in several hundred retail stores throughout the USA. We pride ourselves in being a specialty item that sells extremely well in boutique retailers - where customers are going to find something unique and high quality.
