Cheryl Abel-Hodges Is CEO At Tommy John

Tommy John named Cheryl Abel-Hodges as its new CEO. Formerly she had served as CEO at Calvin Klein. She will work with “brand founders, Tom Patterson and Erin Fujimoto to build the Tommy John brand through continued wholesale expansion and product innovation.”


According to Tommy John, the company “has doubled its wholesale footprint since 2022 and is expected to increase its retail presence by 40% before the end of the year.”


Abel-Hodges has spent almost 30 years in the fashion industry “including executive stints as president of the PVH Underwear Group, president of Wholesale Sportswear at Izod, vice president of sales and planning at Ralph Lauren, and vice president general manager of apparel at Liz Claiborne.”


Tommy John launched in 2008 as a men’s brand and has “since expanded into underwear, bras, loungewear, and apparel.” According to the firm, “Tommy John products can be found in over 3,000 retail locations including Nordstrom, Dillard’s, Scheels, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and in Tommy John stores in SouthPark Mall in Charlotte, North Carolina, Scottsdale Fashion Square in Scottsdale, Arizona, The Houston Galleria in Houston, Texas, The Mall at Green Hills in Nashville, Tennessee, Southlake Town Square just outside of Dallas, Texas, and The Summit in Birmingham.”
