Aerie Q2 Sales Jump 9.3%
New on the Aerie website: the SMOOTHEZ Demi Lightly Lined Bra, and SMOOTHEZ No Show Scallop Thong Underwear
Aerie sales jumped 9.3% in the second quarter, recording an “all-time high” for that period. Comps for the intimates brand rose 4%.
Aerie, a division of American Eagle Outfitters (AEO), posted Q2 sales of $415.646 million, compared to $380.413 million in the three months ended July 29, 2023. Sales for the 26 weeks ended August 3 were up 6.6%, totaling $788.298 million, compared to $739.495 million in the same period in 2023.
Aerie was operating a total of 313 stores as of August 3. This number includes both Aerie and OFFL/NE stand alone and side-by-side locations (that are next to American Eagle apparel stores).
Parent company AEO earned a combined $77.264 million on sales of $1.291 billion in the three months, compared to a profit of $48.570 million on sales of $1.200 billion in the same period last year.
