Disguise

Stephen Stanley, co-president of Disguise, is excited about the company’s new H2Go (Halloween to go) line. “It’s Halloween made easy, geared toward teenagers and adult men,” he said. H2Go consists of costume-themed T-shirts and kits at a value price for the male Halloween consumer, who Stanley sees as less willing than women to spend a lot of time or money on their costumes. The license-driven costume maker also has several new deals for the season, including Disney’s “Tron,” which is currently playing in theaters, “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,” “Rapunzel;” and “Sharpay’s Excellent Adventure,” and Marvel’s “Thor” and “Captain America.” Under the “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” license, Stanley expects the Angelica costume to be particularly popular. Penelope Cruz will play Angelica in the fourth film in the series, which is hitting theaters in May. He also expects the pirates and mermaids inspired by the film to sell extremely well. Other stand-out costumes include Cruella de Vil from Disney’s “101 Dalmatians” styles from Disguise’s “Women of Marvel” line; and additions to the company’s license for Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland,” including the White Queen and the Cheshire Cat. Once again this season, Disguise is using the term “sassy” rather than “sexy” to describe its more coquettish female costumes, which fall under the company’s Fabulous Flirts line. Fabulous Flirts looks are sprinkled throughout Disguise’s adult ranges.
