According to Mike Russina, co-owner of e-tailer MensUnderwearStore.com; “Customers are looking for value. They are becoming leery of sales that are not universal mainly because retailers are putting the items that are overstocked on sale, which tend to be products that don’t offer the value at their regular price.”
His advice to someone looking to make a profit in men’s intimates is “offer a good, quality product at a fair price.” He also believes that vendors should “strike a synergistic relationship with retailers to assist with the marketing [of their product].”
When asked about his company’s selling niche, he said: “Everything we carry is related to underwear. We recognize there are many different situations in life and there is not one single pair of underwear that satisfies all these situations. We have many different types of customers; collegiate, business, athletic, wives and girlfriends. I can confidently say that we cover the gamut.”
The company carries sizes S through XL. Russina sees white underwear as going out of style, and in new trends, “men are finally starting to pay attention to fabric content.”
