When Hustler designed its first store in 1997, it understood that customers need to shop in a comfortable environment to feel comfortable with their purchases. From an open floor plan to contemporary lighting, and vibrant colors to innovative fixtures, Hustler Hollywood manages to create an overall fun experience from the moment the customer enters the parking lot.
Filled with sexy apparel, DVDs, toys and novelties, Hustler Hollywood caters to women of all ages who have strong sense of self, an adventurous and independent spirit, and a willingness to push the envelope.
As with all retail stores, Hustler Hollywood has seen slight changes in its core customer since opening 10 years ago.
"Some markets, such as Miami and New Orleans, are deeply rooted in tourism which means the customer is constantly changing," said Moe Hettinger, National Visual Merchandiser for Hustler Hollywood. "In other markets, such as Monroe Ohio and Lexington Kentucky, Hustler Hollywood is the go-to spot for dancers, couples, truck drivers and construction workers developing in the surrounding area."
Hustler Hollywood currently has 12 stores (with four in the planing/building stages) and 250 employees in-store, and 12 at its corporate office.
Through their website, various marketing campaigns and trade events, Hustler Hollywood reaches out to potential customers and manages to win them over with Hustler's extraordinary, sexy items. Additionally, Hustler Hollywood offers a great deal of marketing events that are store-site specific. These events include, fashion shows, club/bar promotions, radio station events, VIP/concierge events, and setting up mobile booths at concerts.
Hustler Hollywood reports they have couples who visit for a special evening together and a solid dancer base checks in a few times a week for new lingerie options. "Hustler Hollywood makes a conscious effort to keep the lines of communication between the stores and the corporate office open and alive so that we may better serve our loyal fan base," said Hettinger.
Country-wide, Hustler Holly-wood customers roughly spend $24.99 for bras, $12.99 for boyshorts, and $9.99 for thongs. A few of Hustler Hollywood's most requested items include Hustler Lingerie Black Fishnet Dress, Hustler Lingerie Fishnet black Thigh High with Lace Trim, and Forplay Scottish Fever Set.
Looking to the future, Hustler Hollywood is currently putting together an "S.I.N" night, which stands for "service industry night," in St. Louis and is currently working on an in-house fashion show for its locations.
