For almost nine years, Sharon Fisher has been the owner of Delicates Bra Boutique in Alberta, Canada. She has told BODY that now at 63, she wants to retire and sell her business.
While bras are the majority of her business, Fisher explains that it is really all about her customers. After being violently attacked while in her store, it was her loyal customers that kept her spirits high and her business on target. "I am blessed with the best customers in the world," she said. "They have been shopping here for so long that they feel very much at home here and that is what makes my store work. People do feel at home here."
To return the favor, Fisher fills her store with top of the line products from quality brands. "I deal only with quality brands of bras," she said. "Prima Donna, Simone Perele and Chantelle." Fisher previously carried Felina, but is now trying to phase out the products due to conflicts with a local store. "I also carry the Enell Sports bra because I believe it is the best and now Prima Donna has a sports bra that I just got in last month. It's for lighter sports like golf and light jogging. That is what my customers want-the support, style and appearance these brands give them."
Fisher has found that smooth cup and seamless bras are most requested. She also sees an interest in shapewear styles. "It works very well to help a lady get the good shape she needs for her self esteem," said Fisher. "And to fit into the party dress that she bought last year."
