Since 2002, Zone d' Erotica has served as the capital of a world of wild and exotic lingerie. Presented by Mary Greentree, regional supervisor and buyer, the company operates 15 5,000-square-foot stores in Florida and Texas and has plans to open more locations.

"We're always looking for the perfect location to expand," she said.
"Zone d' Erotica's goal is to bring our customers a hipper, newer and exciting place to shop," said Greentree who spoke about her neon lit stores that feature walled in chrome and mirrors and colorful displays. "We definitely feel that we'll have something to offer you that you can't find in any other store."

Greentree has filled her stores with styles from companies that offer sexy lingerie, clubwear and "hard to find play wear," such as Forplay, Serious, Body Zone, Escante, Fantasy Lingerie, Hustler and many more.

"We usually don't get people asking for brands that cater to functional undergarments," said Greentree. "We've always catered to the women looking to 'release her inner goddess.'"

While Zone offers a very specialized product, its clientele is anything but. Greentree and her staff work with customers from all walks of life.

"We get tons of young girls looking for the hottest styles to wear clubbing; yet we can't forget our middle aged housewives with expendable income looking to spice up their love lives and our eager men who want to bring something special home!"

Greentree also sees shoppers of all shapes and sizes, noting that hard-bodied customers are looking to show of what they've got, while fuller figured women enjoy her broad array of plus sizes.

Customer favorites include pasties by Nippies, leg warmers by Music Legs, and mix and match pieces by Body Language. Zone also carries men's underwear, including Male Power. "Our top-selling menswear has always been Male Power," said Greentree. "Strippers, nudists or just a man looking to find something unique can always find what they want with the selection Male Power has to offer."

In addition to the complete selection of intimate apparel, recently the footwear section has been expanded to over 1,000- square-feet and top-sellers include Ellie, Pleaser and Highest Heel, said Greentree.

Over the last seven years, Zone d' Erotica has begun to appeal to a broader market. Like many other exotic and adult boutiques, business has become more mainstream.

"To quote designer Rebecca Sternberg 'Lingerie is the new clubwear,'" said Greentree. "Everyone's looking for racier, more revealing and intricate apparel to add to their wardrobes. The basic T-shirt bra has been shadowed by a newer urge for women to 'Release their Inner Goddess' with a fancier, more erotic image."
