(Filed Under Fashion News). American Apparel is set to open a new store sometime this year in the Valley Fair Mall in San Jose, Calif. Currently in its construction phases, the store will measure 5,500-square-feet, making it the largest of the retailer's mall stores to date, according to the company.

In addition to the company's adult collection of basics including underwear and hosiery, the Valley store will carry the company's expanded Kids and Babies line, which includes 30 new styles. The company has also recently added new fabrics and prints like water-color tights and floral swimwear.

American Apparel plans to hire a staff of 30 for the store.
