(Filed Under wholesale Shapewear News). For the fall season, Sculptz has added fashion colors to its shaping legwear. In addition to black (A Girl's Best Friend), and brown (Chocoholic), the company has added the red shade Apple Of My Eye, the copper shade All Spiced Up, and the green shade Shaken Not Stirred. Jean P. Vernor, president/CEO of Scupltz, said that the company chose to add these shades for the upcoming season because, “jewel tones are hot for fall." Sizes run from S through XXL at a retail price range of $23 for basic sheers to $40 for leggings. In total, the shaping legwear comes in nine color choices.
Also seen in the collection are 12 sheer and opaque patterns including geometrics seen on the runway for fall. Others include a herringbone, and Animal Opaque, which is available in the A Girl's Best Friend and Chocoholic. “Our opaque and sheer patterns have our signature shaper top with sculpting control panels that smooth and hide bulges so you feel confident and pulled together knowing you look your best,” Vernor said.
The company also recently added the shades Fuschiadelic and Purple Passion to their shaping shorts. These also come in A Girl’s Best Friend and the nude shade Sand Between My Toes.
Vernor reported that the company added fashion colors to give its customers more options than those typically offered in the shapewear market. She described the typical Sculptz customer as a 30-plus, self-confident, fashion-forward woman who wears shapewear on a daily basis but does not seek maximum compression. “She wants firm control and support, that is also so comfortable she forgets she has shapewear on. Sculptz has a comfortable spandex/nylon blend that allows you to bend and breathe,” she said.
For the Spring 2010 season, the company is introducing a foliage-inspired pattern. New shades consist of orange, grey with blue undertones and ethereal blue, as well as bolder shades such as the turquoise shade called I’m not blue. “We have seen these wispy, romantic colors on the runway a lot for spring 2010,” Vernor said about the line's palette.
A 35-year-old company, Sculptz maintains manufacturing plants in North and South Carolina. The brand’s shapewear can be purchased through the company’s website (www.Sculptz.com).
