(Filed Under Fashion News). Eurovet, a trade show organizer of eight lingerie and swimwear fairs, has teamed up with CurvExpo, currently the only trade show representing the designer lingerie, men's underwear and swimwear industries in the U.S. since Lingerie Americas announced it is ceasing activity.
As of November 21st, Eurovet has a 30 percent stake in CurvExpo. "We are very pleased to team up with CurvExpo. Leveraging market knowledge and customer base gives Eurovet the opportunity to create the most powerful lingerie and swimwear trade show company in the world," said Marie-Laure Bellon-Homps, CEO of Eurovet." Both companies have developed strong customer loyalty and we intend to continue and expand for an even better customer experience going forward."
According to Laurence Teinturier, the decision to open arms to a 30 percent stake was a strategic move. "Eurovet has the largest swimwear show worldwide and they are considered the reference in the industry, so they are people with incredible expertise. The idea is to form with Eurovet something that will benefit the exhibitors with the combination of synergies," she said.
Established in 2006 by industry veterans Laurence Teinturier and Jean-Luc Tenturier, CurvExpo, now including Eurovet, believe they are offering the industry the tools necessary for prospering in a weakened economy: the CurvExpo trade show in Las Vegas and New York, both of which occur twice a year showcasing the Spring-Summer and Fall-Winter collections of major domestic and international brands in lingerie and swimwear; and the international exposure, as well as the opportunity to expand into new markets and sustain long-term growth.
"Thanks to its leadership in Europe and its unique sourcing trade shows in Asia, Eurovet is the ideal partner for CurvExpo," said Jean-Luc Teinturier, CurvExpo president and CEO. "It gives brands and retailers access to the best sourcing opportunities and opens up potentially new markets. From the beginning, Curve's mission was to offer the industry the best merchandising platform to reach the maximum number of professional buyers per session. The alliance with Eurovet will help CurvExpo offer improved services to exhibitors and their brands."
The next CurvExpo trade show will occur in in Las Vegas February 16th through the 18th and then in New York February 22nd through the 24th. Some of the upcoming Eurovet exhibitions include the Salon International de la Lingerie held January 18th through the 21st and Mode City held September 5th through the 7th. Both exhibitions will be held at the Porte de Versailles in Paris.
