(Filed Under wholesale Sleepwear News). For holiday 2009 and spring/summer 2010, Patricia Fieldwalker is launching a collection with an emphasis on clean, simple lines and colors that promise to "lift the spirit" and give a "boost to women's confidence." It will begin shipping in early October and continue into 2010, with color availability changing each month.
To launch the collection, Patricia Fieldwalker will be showing in New York from August 2nd through the 4th at the Kimberley Hotel. She will also be showing in Las Vegas from August 31st through September 2nd at the Bellagio Hotel.
"As always, we concentrate on beautiful fabrics and great fit to celebrate each woman's unique beauty," said Fieldwalker of her new collection. "We work very closely with our buyers to let them select unique assortments so that each boutique has its own selection and there is a real 'just-for-me' quality. Everything is made to order so no two stores have the same styles. We are not in the 'here today, gone tomorrow' quick fashion scene. Our target customer is the woman who buys Hermés and Gucci and has her own sense of style."
Silk lingerie pieces range from approximately $22 (panties) to $300 (robes). Other items include camisoles, chemises and gowns in sizes XS to XL. Some of the company's limited edition pieces will be higher in price. "It's a deluxe collection that's really not for every store," she explained. "Our collection is found at exclusive shops like Bergdorf Goodman, Stanley Korshak, Lingerie on Lex, Trousseau in Vienna [...] All shops that have a customer for high end lingerie and who understands the quality and workmanship that goes into our brand."
According to Fieldwalker, she is one of the few North American designers to maintain an independent factory without outsourcing production offshore. In addition, each store's order is custom cut and sewn in the Vancouver factory, which allows buyers to put together "unique" selections for their stores. "It is very unlikely that two boutiques will select the same styles and colors, so pricing is up to each store," she said.
