(Filed Under Fashion News). 23 new Target stores celebrated their grand opening on Sunday, July 26th nationwide. The company estimated that these openings will create 4,000 new jobs. Target reported that this is part of its 2009 expansion plan, which will include the opening of 76 additional stores by the end of this year.

Currently, Target operates 1,719 stores in every U.S. state except for Vermont.
