(Filed Under Wholesale Swimwear News). The Australian swimwear label, Kooey, attended the recent Miami SwimShow for the first time to preview their first men's range, which includes boardshorts, swim trunks and T-shirts featuring indigenous prints. According to the company, SwimShow was the best venue for them to reach a large buying audience at once, particularly in these economic times.
"We wanted to fill the gap in a market dominated by surf brands," said Nikki Silverthrone, founder of Kooey, regarding her decision to delve into the men's market. "Men are increasingly looking towards stylish designer clothes, rather than the standard mass-produced surfwear, and this range fills the gap."
Items in the collection wholesale between $50 and $60, and retail between $110 and $120. Silhouettes run in sizes 30 to 40 inches.
