(Filed Under wholesale Classic Slippers/Shoes News). WhiteSaki by Lauren B. Mandel maker of the graphic-printed boyshorts depicting New York neighborhoods has introduced a neighborhood-inspired line of flip-flops.
Flip flops are sized 6 through 10 and can be found in specialty boutiques throughout New York City, The Hamptons, Los Angeles, Tokyo and Tel Aviv at a retail price of $18. Styles include two different New York versions, as well as one for California cities and one for international cities including London, Paris and Tokyo.
The brand is also introducing a California collection of boyshorts this October and International Cities collection this November. All WhiteSaki panties range in size from S through L and retail for $18.
"The flip-flops are serving as a pre-launch for the new collection of panties," Mandel, president and designer of the brand, said.
While the New York prints, have an "edgy", NYC feel, Mandel described the California panties as "very flashy, vibrant and glamorous for the California girl," with gold, silver and black metallic waistbands. She reported that the international prints have a "jet set feeling."
Mandel's future plans include adding a full collection of loungewear for the Spring 2010 season. Retailers currently carrying the brand include Olive & Bette's, Pink Slip and LF stores.
"I sold through 50 percent of the stock within the first week of getting [WhiteSaki] in," Todd Alessandro of Pink Slip said. "I think it is perfect for the New York woman because it has a great amount of style without being too 'lingerie-y.' The fact that it's done by neighborhood is also great-everybody loves that."
WhiteSaki is a division of New York-based International Intimates. For more information, call Mandel at (212) 271-9789.
