(Filed Under wholesale Loungewear News). Layla L'obatti, president of Between The Sheets Lingerie, will debut her first lingerie/loungewear collections at CurveNY this August titled Between The Sheets and Layla L'obatti.
Both lines run in sizes XS through L, and L'obatti is considering adding an XL size depending on requests. Set to hit stores in January 2010, styles are aimed at boutiques as well as department stores such as Bloomingdale's, Barneys and Bergdorf Goodman. L'obatti aims to keep all manufacturing within the New York area.
The Between The Sheets line will retail for $60 to $130. L'obatti reported that the company is still deciding on wholesale pricing, but that it will probably be 50 to 60 percent less than retail. The 20 to 25 pieces include robes, lounge pants, yoga pants, sleep shorts, soft bras and panties made from modal and microfiber. The introductory range will include the colorways ivory with a lilac-gray trim and a black with gray trim, both embellished with navy bow. Additional color ranges will include navy with ivory trim and seafoam-green with ivory trim, both embellished with pink bows.
L'obatti described the Layla L'obatti line as "high-designer," with retail prices running up to $700. The 10 total pieces are offered in silk chiffon and silk satin.
Formally a Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) student, L'obatti started Between The Sheets in 2005 as a fashion show for FIT design students. For further information, e-mail her at Layla@BtsLingerie.com.
