(Filed Under wholesale Hosiery News). This fall Kate Spade New York, best known for its signature handbags, is adding legwear to its line-up through a licensing agreement with Mallory & Church Corporation.
The legwear line consists of 15 to 20 trouser socks, knee-high and tight styles made from materials including cotton blends, Lycra and nylon. It will hit most Kate Spade New York stores this fall at a retail range of $16 to $48 in sizes S through L.
According to Deborah Lloyd, co-president and creative director of the company, "styles are inspired by the current handbag and apparel collections." Polka dots, vibrant colors and whimsical idioms are key elements to the collection.
"A lovely way to add a bit of whimsy to a look is with a great, colorful tight," Lloyd said.
The legwear will be available in select Kate Spade New York stores as well as the company's website, as well as select luxury retailers including Saks, Bloomingdale's and Lord & Taylor.
