New Brands at Curve Announced

(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). As of July 7th, 23 new international and domestic exhibitors have signed up for the upcoming CurveNY show to showcase their spring/summer 2010 collections. In addition, 15 new exhibitors have signed up for CurveNV. The NY show will be held at the Javits Galleria August 2nd through the 4th, and NV will be held at the Venetian Hotel August 31st through September 2nd.

New exhibitors attending the NY show include Corin, Daddy's Favorite, HOTmilk, Leonisa, Matisse, and Mundo Unico, among others.

"This is our U.S. launch and a much anticipated one," said Lisa Ebbing of New Zealand-based HOTmilk, a maternity/nursing company that will also show at CurveNV this year. "The U.S. has always been in our sights, but we wanted to be at our strongest globally prior to entering the U.S. market, and we feel that now we are more than ready. We hope to take on board stores from right across the U.S. as we feel that women across the country are in need of beautiful, sexy nursing lingerie. We'll also meet with reps to represent us."

Olga Lucia Oggioni, general manager of Unico Interior LLC (Mundo Unico) is also sharing the enthusiasm of attending CurveNY for the first time. "Due to the growing popularity of this event, and seeing how it is positioning itself as one of the most important lingerie shows in the U.S., Unico has decided to give it a try and present our upcoming collection: Mundo Natural 2," she said. "We usually take part in shows such as MAGIC and the International Lingerie Show in the West Coast, but we are seeking a stronger market in New York, and this show might be a great opportunity. We hope to expand our client base in the Northeast of the country and reaffirm Mundo Unico's popularity among the young fashion conscious man."

New exhibitors in Vegas include Hollywood Fashion Tape, a company offering smart solutions to women's everyday apparel problems who just recently debuted a shapewear line; Body Bark, who manufactures undershirts for women to protect the skin from uncomfortable fabrics and clothes from deodorant and perspiration; and Fruit De La Passion, a Brazilian brand that offers high-end lingerie with a French twist.

"We decided to show at Curve because it is the lingerie show, and we think attendees are going to fall in love with our soft, sexy versatile shirts," said Catherine Poirier, founder of

Body Bark. Porier launched the brand last fall with its signature line of shirts. Since then, the company has added eight new products to the line. At CurveNV, she hopes to get "Sales, exposure, inspiration and energy." Body Bark will show at CurveNY in 2010.

In total, 112 exhibitors have confirmed their attendance for CurveNY so far, and 74 exhibitors have confirmed for CurveNV.
