(Filed Under wholesale Accessories News). Maryland-based Shapeez has expanded on the success of its debut silhouettes, the Ultimate and the Shortee, by launching the Unbelievabra Tankee, its newest shapewear scheduled to hit retailers by the end of June.
Made from nylon/Lycra Moisture wicking fabric, the Tankee is offered in cropped and torso lengths in size equivalents to 34A and 42DD. The styles wholesale at a range of $37.50 to $42.50.
Unlike the original silhouettes, the Tankee features a narrowed, cut-in back design at the shoulders instead of a back design that extends all the way to the shoulder blades. According to the company, because of the new design, women can wear the Tankee underneath sleeveless and tank top styles in addition to long and short sleeve styles. Additionally, the Tankee is now available in white.
This launch brings a string of successes for the company, who wouldn't discuss financials, but cited a 400 percent sales increase in the first half of 2009. In addition to expanding to over 100 boutiques across the five territories of Canada, the brand has also been picked up by all 22 locations of Midwest-based, upscale specialty department chain Von Maur.
At retailers, the Tankee will sell between $75 and $85.
