(Filed Under Fashion News). Due to the depressed economy and weakening lingerie sales in France, luxury lingerie brand Aubade, whose main market is in France, is eliminating 104 jobs at its plant in St. Savin located in southwest France.
The eliminations are also a result of company plans to centralize technical development and the pre-production working processes of Aubade in Paris, said a company spokesperson.
The St. Savin location is becoming a pure logistical platform for the company with 28 workplaces. Cutting to size and production of samples are to be outsourced.
Headquartered in Paris, Aubade is a subsidiary of Swiss company Calida Holding AG.
