(Filed Under wholesale Basics News). For the upcoming holiday/resort winter season, Cosabella has introduced the new Aire grouping running at a retail price range of $20 to $45.
Available for wholesale purchase until June, Aire will hit stores this October, and will be added as a permanent part of the company’s branded merchandise.
The seamless grouping is made from a semi-sheer fabric, which Teresa DeSouza, Cosabella’s designer, described as “light as air,” which is also the reason the company named it Aire. Other unique aspects of the fabric, which is new for Cosabella, are that it holds its shape in the wash, does not create a visible panty line and does not roll up during wear. Silhouettes consist of a low-rider thong in sizes Petite/S, S/M and M/L, hotpants in sizes S and ML, and a soft bra in sizes Petite through L.
Cosabella is initially introducing Aire in shades of black and blush, but will add “sophisticated and subdued” pastel shades like pale pink, mint and lilac for spring.
“We think that the semi-sheer fabric is an excellent vehicle for colors, but we wanted to launch Aire in blush and black so that customers could appreciate the new fabric,” DeSouza said. “Over time we will continually bring in more and more colors.”
DeSouza described Aire as different from anything that Cosabella has introduced before. Although they have introduced one seamless grouping in the past, with it’s semi-sheer fabric Aire has “lighter, lingerie-inspired look” despite it’s seamless styling.
“Aire is completely new and different for Cosabella, led by the new fabric,” DeSouza said. “It is very clean and modern looking, with a contemporary boutique feel.”
