(Filed Under Fashion News). Operated by owner Margo Andros, lingerie retailer Pink Slip held a grand opening on May 4th to celebrate its move to a 737-square-foot space located at Manhattan’s Grand Central Station from a smaller retail space also located at the station.
Held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., the soiree welcomed approximately 100 people who got to walk away with gift bags including pink thongs, Nina Garcia’s Little Black Book of Style, Eberjey Intimates Wash, eye masks and more.
Models and representatives also attended the event, offering fit sessions and showing off collections to customers.
In light of the celebration Andros gave a speech at the Commodore in the Grand Hyatt above Grand Central recalling the efforts and support of those who helped her business grow since its inception almost a decade ago.
Among those she thanked included her partners at Grand Central: Clay Walker and Laura Blaustein from Jones Lang LaSalle, MTA partner Nancy Marshall, real estate developer Michael Ewing, and vendors including Hanky Panky, Huit, Eberjey, Panache, Blush, Spanx, Lisa’s Folleys and Commando.
According to the retailer, sales have gone up 25 percent since doors opened.
The celebration will continue on until May 8th.
