(Filed Under wholesale Loungewear News). Haralee, a Portland, Oregon-based wholesaler of moisture-wicking sleep/loungewear, introduced the Mary and the Mary Ann pajama styles in late April. Both retail at $60 and come in a shade of black in sizes S to 2X.
The Mary Ann’s pant is similar to preexisting styles with its elastic waistband, while the Mary includes their first drawstring pant.
Both are the first items in Haralee’s new “I Believe In You Line,” made from their new 100 percent polyester CoolPass Fabric.
According to Weintraub, Haralee is the only company using CoolPass, which she described as having long-lasting moisture-wicking capabilities. She hopes to add a nightshirt to the line this fall.
Weintraub describes her typical customer as a size medium menopausal woman aged 45 to 60. She also markets products towards women undergoing cancer treatment.
According to her, since its inception in 2004, the company, which consists of two staff members, grew by 10 percent in 2006, by 15 percent in 2007, and despite the poor economy, by seven percent in 2008.
Current products include six pajama sets, six nightgowns, one robe and two lifestyle shirts in blues, purples, yellows and blacks.
Boutiques including “Beyond the Bed” in British Colombia, online retailers including Drinights.com, and hospital shops nationwide and in Canada carry their products, which are also sold through the company’s website.
