(Filed Under wholesale Loungewear News). 2021 was a year of tremendous growth for Shapeez. Not only did sales expand organically, but the brand added new products that brought a wealth of new consumers and introduced the brand to many new stores and categories of retail buyers.
And there is much more to come in 2022.
The immediate success of the recently launched Pajameez bamboo sleep and loungewear collection has led the company to add new colors and prints to the line. Shapeez will also offer gift boxes and combination packages that include multiple Pajameez and Shapeez styles in a single package at special prices.
2021 also saw the expansion of the company’s wire free Comfeez bralette collection to include a racerback version. And 2022 will bring more plus size versions of the Comfeez bralettes, with special new design elements added for the larger sizes.
Shapeez launched 15 years ago on the strength of a patented bra design invented by co-owner Staci Berner. “All Shapeez bras eliminate the look of back fat, bulges and visible bra lines, while at the same time providing full bra support and 360 degree shaping,” she noted. The original Ultimate Bra, was followed by well over a dozen successful Shapeez and Comfeez styles, all based on that original concept.
A major new addition for 2022 will be a collection of bamboo panties. “Until now, we never offered matching bottoms,” continued co-owner and CFO David Berner. “But Staci’s new bamboo panty collection is the perfect companion to our Shapeez bras. Bamboo fabrics offer excellent ventilation and health benefits. Bamboo is hypo allergenic and moisture wicking, while at the same time it provides a wonderfully soft and luxurious feel.”
“Consumers who love Shapeez bras have been asking for matching panties for many years,” concluded David Berner. “Now retailers have the opportunity of significantly increasing their business, by offering a matching panty with every sale of a Shapeez bra.”
