GemBra Launches Successfully On QVC

(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). The GemBra had a dramatically successful launch on QVC, bringing in over $80,000 in sales from an initial eight minute, late night presentation in July.

Since then, sales have continued to grow, and the GemBra has accumulated numerous articles and huge social media attention.

“Now that we have proven that consumers love the GemBra, and we have almost sold out of our first production run, we are ready to grow.” The next steps are to produce more bras, add a dedicated, direct to consumer website and begin offering the bras to retail stores. “We are also looking to find a partner or investor to accelerate the growth of the brand.”

The patent-pending GemBra combines a comfortable, well-made bra with a “natural, authentic crystal gemstone” that is “securely affixed to the bra and then encased in a mesh pocket so it stays safe and secure during wearing and washing,” according to Luciani.

The crystals bring various benefits to the wearer explained the inventor. There are three styles: “The Attract Love Bra - white lace with a rose quartz; The Attract Success Bra - black lace with an amethyst; The Attract Peace Bra - tan lace with a sodalite.” The bra, which should be available by mid-June, will wholesale for $22, and it is designed to retail for $44.

The gemstones, which are certified by the Gemological Institute of America, are 12mm wide, “heart shaped and completely flat and smooth so [they] won’t show under clothes,” explained the designer. “And the reason it’s heart-shaped is because it’s worn close to your heart, meant to uplift your soul and help attract all you desire. Placed right over the heart Chakra, for those who are familiar!”

“Overall, the bra is a lay-flat lace (aka won’t be bumpy under shirts!) unlined bralette with an extra-wide 2” bottom band for extra support (90% of the bra’s support comes from the band) - no wire needed! Most bralettes and wireless bras do not offer this type of support,” Luciani explained.

Each style is offered in sizes S through 3X, and are designed to accommodate “everyone from a 32B to a 44G” and come with an adjustable hook and eye closure in the back. “Each one comes with a colorful card explaining your GemBra and what it can do for you, so it makes a great gift for someone who needs a little uplifting in their life!”

“The back is U-shaped so that straps stay put and won’t slip down,” and the straps are adjustable. “The back band and side wings stay smooth under clothes - and again no worries about wires or anything poking you in the armpit! The front of the bra has full coverage cups but a deep plunge V so it looks great under all your clothes especially summer tanks. The super soft cups are great post surgery or post mastectomy and you can easily slip a prosthetic into them if needed.”
