(Filed Under Fashion News). Lou has launched an interactive video website that aims to better display the brand's Parisian essence.
The site greets you with a redesigned brand logo and a midnight blue background. It then asks you to enter your name, "making you the heroine of the film," says Mindy Zunenshine, Lou division manager of BL Intimates, which is based in Montreal.
This is followed by an interactive chat in the famed Hotel Murano with Alexandra Golovanoff, a French fashion journalist and star of La Mode La Mode La Mode and Blonde et Moi. Golovanoff helps you find your perfect underpinnings for a night in the city by presenting styles from Lou’s fall/holiday collection on live models, and allowing you to choose the ones you like.
The slogan for the site, and the corresponding ad campaign, is a cheeky one about choice: “Surprise yourself, rediscover LOU.”
"Having the film take place in the Hotel Murano, Paris's most stylish and trendy hotel, really captures the chic Parisian flare of the Lou collection,” Zunenshine said.
At the end of the video, visitors are invited to enter a contest to win dinner for two and a night at the Murano (complete, of course, with Lou lingerie).
The site was made in collaboration with technology company Visual Link and produced by Olivier Dahan, who directed the Academy Award-winning film La Vie en Rose. It does not feature e-commerce capabilities, but does tell visitors where they can buy Lou products in their area.
