(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). Figleaves.com, the U.K. based site, launched in 1998, closed permanently at the end of February. It was one of the first online stores that focused on intimate apparel and underwear.
The company was sold in 2010 to N Brown Group, Plc. for £11.5 million (roughly $16 million at today’s exchange rates). Earlier this year N Brown announced it was folding the business into its Simply B brand (which it describes as “a size-inclusive online fashion and beauty brand for women” aged 25 - 45).
The Figleaves.com website recently posted the following announcement: “After many years serving the international market, we have made the decision to close figleaves.com as of February 26th, 2021.”
The Figleaves brand is still currently sold on such websites as Amazon.com and Next.us. — NM
