(Filed Under wholesale Costume News). Spencer Spirit Holdings added the title of president to Isaac Silvera, a long time executive who already serves as COO and CFO.

The company operates 670 retail locations, under both the Spencer’s and Spirit Halloween names, throughout the United States and Canada.

“As a seventeen-year veteran of Spencer’s and Spirit Halloween, Ike’s leadership and guidance has been instrumental to our revenue growth to over $1 billion,” noted CEO Steven Silverstein.

In announcing the elevation, the company also made special mention of its success with Halloween pop ups in 2020. It explained, “retail, especially brick and mortar, has been tested this year. Silvera’s leadership, resolve and careful planning helped the company navigate a challenging year. In spite of the difficult environment, Spirit Halloween successfully opened and operated more than 1,400 locations this year, the most ever for the retailer. Spencer’s successfully reopened all of its stores after they were temporarily closed in March.”

Founded in 1947 as a mail order catalog, the firm opened its first brick-and-mortar store in 1963. It currently offers, in addition to Halloween costumes, lingerie, t-shirts, jewelry, home decor, accessories and humor and seasonal novelties.
