(Filed Under wholesale Hosiery News). This March, New York City-based Solo Licensing Corporation added soothing components to their tights and socks lines.
Their new Hydra tights and socks for the coming fall season are infused with aloe and vitamin E, which the company's vice president of design Fern Pochtar said makes for a "beautifully soft hand." The Hydra tights wholesale for $3 to $4.50, and retail for $10 to $15, while the socks wholesale at approximately $2 to $3.50 and retail in the range of $8 to $10. The aloe/vitamin E infusion is available in all of Solo Licensing's hosiery style categories including crochet and net, and according to Pochtar they have been "doing great" in terms of sales.
She added that for fall, the color scheme is somewhat dark, with black, dark grey, chocolate, berry and sprinklings of navy seen throughout.
In other news, according to Pochtar the company's year-old Earth Grown collection continues to sell "exceptionally well." The collection includes cotton bamboo, rayon bamboo and organic cotton socks and tights in every one of the company's style categories. These run at the same prices as the Hydra tights and socks.
"Even my friends tell me they love [the Earth Grown collection]," Pochtar commented. "They say that they wear nice, wash nice and feel great."
