(Filed Under wholesale Shapewear News). Shapeez recently received a significant endorsement, as Good Housekeeping Magazine style director Lori Bergamotto recommended the company’s Shortee Bra in a segment on Good Morning America.
During a presentation on the best-fitting shapewear on September 10, the Shapeez design was praised as “two for the price of one: a bra and a shaper.”
“We tried this in the Good Housekeeping Institute,” Bergamotto began. “Testers loved how comfortable it was and how it eliminated back fat,” (the ugly bulges that can be seen on the outside of a garment with a regular bra).
“It’s really great!” said Lori Bergamotto, adding that the D cup tester described the Shapeez Shortee as the “best fitting bra she ever had!”
According to David Berner, Shapeez co-owner and CFO, “The retailers that carry Shapeez reported a surge in business that week, with consumers coming in and asking for the Shortee. Overall, we did a month’s worth of business that week, and sales have been running strong ever since.”
Staci Berner, who invented the patented Shapeez concept, and co-owns the brand, explained, “With Shapeez back-smoothing bras you get all the benefits of a full support shaping bra without any negatives like back bulges, falling straps, or tight, uncomfortable elastic bands or closures. It’s the perfect bra, hands down.”
She listed the key elements of the Shortee: “smooths back bulges; no visible bra lines; shapes and support the breasts; front adjustable straps always stay up; look thinner instantly; wicks moisture away from the body.”
The Shortee, which incorporates underwire molded foam cups, comes in black and nude and retails for $79.
In other news, Shapeez is one of the sponsors for an upcoming holiday event: Women Empowering Women in Recovery set for December 11th in West Palm Beach, Florida. Shapeez will be working with apparel designer Boston Proper, and giving away bras. Also during the event will be an Oprah 2020 Vision Tour raffle winner announcement, a 2019 scholarship announcement and a silent auction and raffle.
