TLC Adds New Forms, Plans Website Upgrade

(Filed Under wholesale Mastectomy News). Tender Loving Care (TLC), the American Cancer Society's magalog for cancer patients, recently launched silicone forms with softer drapes geared toward elderly patients.

The not-for-profit organization's breast forms run from $100 to $190 in sizes one through 13, and in shades of beige and brown. All proceeds from their hair loss and mastectomy products are reinvested in the American Cancer Society's national and local programs and services.

The magalog has also added shades of beige and black to the moisture-wicking camisole with adjustable straps and lace trim, which they introduced last season in white. It runs at $45 in sizes small through XL. The rest of their camisoles run up to a size 3X. According to TLC's founder, Lana Rosenfeld, due to the popularity of the Cami and their moisture-wicking nightgown, the magalog is also looking into adding a moisture-wicking post-surgical bra.

In line with their mission to give customers color and style choices similar to those offered in non-mastectomy bras, TLC has added brown to their bra colorways. Bras also come in shades of white, beige, black, pink, lavender, red, blue, wine and turquoise. The majority of their bras run at the affordable price of $30, with a few running at $18, in cami, molded cup, t-back, long line, and “all cotton comfort” styles. They come in sizes 32A through 44DD.

In other news, this summer TLC expects to launch a revamped website to accommodate their growing e-commerce business, which now provides 41 percent of the magalog's revenue. Their goal is to make the website more user-friendly and easier to navigate. This is part of the American Cancer Society's plan to revamp the technology for all of their products.

“We have seen an incredible amount of uptake in people using the website,” the American Cancer Society's chief mission delivery officer, Terry Music, said. “We want to make sure the consumer has everything they need to make purchasing our products as easy as possible.”

Affiliated with the American Cancer Society, TLC was started by long-time volunteer Lana Rosenfeld who still manages the magalog. It offers cancer patients mastectomy apparel, hair loss products and educational information through it's website and print catalog, aiming to keep prices as low as possible.
