(Filed Under wholesale Loungewear News). Natori, mainly an intimate apparel company, hopes to add an extra dose of comfort and luxury to the bath and beach with its newly launched towel collection: the Natori Bath Collection. As company owner Josie Natori said: “One’s bath should be a refuge that indulges the senses-restoring, relaxing and rejuvenating the soul.”
Licensed by Loftex, a manufacturer of bath and beach towels, bath towels will retail for $30 and beach towels for $50. Currently, the company is selling the Dragon Beach towel through its website, and the wider collection will be available in stores this fall. Towels are made from imported long staple cotton.
The collection consists of the Natori Solids, Modern Geometry and Natori Coordinates groups, as well as the Natori Beach Towel Collection. Each towel in Natori Solids is embellished with the branded Natori family crest with tonal embroidery, and the group include 16 shades ranging from basic to “fashion-forward.” Pieces consist of a sheet, bath (30 x 58) , hand (12 x 8) and wash.
The Jacquard-inspired Modern Geometry group includes the pattern assortments Natori Crest, Natori Dragon, Obi, Fretwork, Fretwork Border and Wave with sizes and colors similar to those in the Solids group. It also includes bath mats at 23 x 34, which include a “thick, soft and luxurious cushion.” Based on the brand’s top-selling bedding designs, Natori Coordinates includes seven embroidery and jacquard patterns. It includes the Wedding towel embellished with “spectacular” embroidery “that is perfect for the Registry or Trosseau.” Sizes include the bath, hand and wash with a 30 x 56 bath size.
Towels in the Natori Beach Towel Collection run at 40 x 70, and are described by the company as combining “color and sense of humor” for a fun, happy beach time. The mostly Japanese-inspired patterns consist of geishas, samurai, dragons, animals, safari and ombre geometrics.
Based in New York City and founded by Josie Natori, Natori produces several collections including sleepwear, lingerie and loungewear.
