(Filed Under Financial and General Interest News). A new confluence of trade shows will occur next February when, for the first time, both Curve and the New International Lingerie Show (NILS) will both be held on the same dates, the 5th, 6th and 7th of the month.
Those dates are, of course, when Magic and Project and many of the other the related trade shows will also be going on in Las Vegas.
The two lingerie shows will be in different parts of Vegas: Curve will be at the Mandalay Bay convention center, as it has been for the past several stanzas, while NILS will go off at its usual location at an exhibition hall in the Westgate Hotel. That hotel is located within walking distance of the Las Vegas Convention Center where Magic and the Sourcing show are held.
This will be the first time either the old or the new versions of the International Lingerie Show have been held on the same dates as Magic and Project. This change is expected to make it more convenient for lingerie buyers because it means a wide variety of lingerie wholesalers will all be in town at the same time.
For this writer it will mean at least one less trip to Las Vegas next year.
It is important to note that both the Offprice show (held at the Sands Convention Center from February 3 through February 6) and the Magic Sourcing show (held from February 4 through 7 at the Convention Center) both also host large numbers of lingerie, underwear and hosiery suppliers. — NM
