(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). During its show at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas April 17 through 19, Altitude Intimates will hold a number of seminars, covering the subjects of online pricing, the effects of Amazon, intimate apparel intellectual property and lingerie fashion trends.
From 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 18, Alex Brandstetter, a consultant with Marketplace Ignition, will deliver a discussion entitled, ““Stop Online Brand and Price Erosion in its Tracks. How to Regain Control in a Transparent Marketplace.”
An hour later, attorney, Ted Luymes will discuss “What Intimate Apparel Businesses Need to Know About Intellectual Property.” That seminar will be followed by a discussion, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., about current lingerie fashion trends. Participants include Pilar Quintana Williams, vice president of merchandising at Yandy; Angela Tobon, CEO at Mapalé; Judy Valentine of J. Valentine; Sam Fard, CEO at Roma; and Christopher Scharff, the former owner of Dreamgirl.
From 11:00 a.m. to noon there is a round table on internet retailing featuring Bill Barna, Eldorado director of sales; consultant Alex Brandstetter; Jeff Watton, chief financial and operation officer at Yandy; attorney Ted Luymes; and Christopher Scharff.
The final seminar, from noon to 1 p.m., features professor Lewis Jaffe of Loyola Marymount University on raising money and selling a business.
