(Filed Under Licensing News). The Levi’s brand has signed a licensing agreement with R.G. Barry Corporation, an accessories footwear marketer also known as the Dearfoams company, to develop and market a new collection of slippers and sandals in the U.S.
Slippers, which will include styles for men, women and children, will hit stores this fall with the sandals collection following in the spring.
“We believe there is a great opportunity for a stylish, more youthful assortment of accessory footwear that carries the trusted Levi’s brand name,” said Maryann Nichols, vice president of licensing for Levi’s. “We selected R.G. Barry as our latest licensing partner based on their proven track record and reputation for superior quality, innovation and unique design – qualities which are paramount to the Levi’s brand.”
As part of the agreement, R.G. Barry has named Jeffery P. Bua, a seasoned sales and marketing executive, as brand president for the new footwear line.
