(Filed Under Fashion News). Limited Brands Inc. has named Joanne Nemeroff the new president of their Canadian lingerie subsidiary, La Senza.

She will begin her employment with the company in April 2009, reporting directly to executive vice president of international at Limited Brands, Martin Waters. She will be responsible for overseeing all La Senza Canadian and International businesses.

"I am looking forward to working with the La Senza team and Limited Brands as we continue to serve La Senza customers throughout the world with high-quality products at affordable prices," Nemeroff commented in a statement released by the company.

Nemeroff has 30 years in the retail industry. Most recently, she was group vice president at Aldo, and previously she worked for the Canadian retailers Reitman’s and T. Eaton.

"Joanne is a results driven leader with a successful history in retail that will serve us well in our continued growth of the La Senza brand," Leslie H. Wexner, chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Limited Brands, said in statement released by the company.

La Senza currently operates approximately 330 La Senza Lingerie, La Senza Express, La Senza Spirit and La Senza Girl stores throughout Canada, and 487 La Senza and La Senza Girl stores in 45 other countries including the United Kingdom, Turkey, South Africa and Morocco.

Limited Brands Inc, also the parent company of specialty retailers including Victoria’s Secret, currently operates 3,015 stores. As previously reported by BODY, during their fourth quarter ended January 31, 2009 the company reported a significant drop in earnings as compared with their previous fourth quarter period.
