(Filed Under wholesale Socks News). American Essentials, a manufacturer of Calvin Klein licensed socks, has come out with approximately 50 new women’s sock styles for the fall 2009 season, featuring seasonal trends such as pops of jewel toned colors.

“I think we have taken the time to really focus on what’s the trend right now as well as what’s saleable,” said Michele Slade, vice president of sales and marketing. “The Calvin Klein line is subdued in terms of color stories, so this collection features black and grey with integrated pops of colors, which was very well received by buyers in the market.”

The socks are available in one-size-fits-most, the equivalent of sizes 6 through 10.5 in women’s. The company, which has been in business for 80 years, prides itself in the construction of its products and this collection is no different. They have used unique yarns, cashmere, ultra soft micro fiber as well as bamboo, said Slade.

Socks range from $8 to $14 retail for singles and $18 for 3 packs. Holiday specialty items, such as cashmere blends and legwarmers, retail for $20.

“I think that we’ve always been best in class. We have the best quality product in the market and we sand behind it and believe in it,” said Slade. “We are always innovative in terms of yarn and silhouettes.”

The new collection will hit stores in August.
