(Filed Under wholesale Costume News). The Halloween Industry Association (HIA) has disclosed the list of six names, which will make up its new board of directors for the 2009-2010 term.

Stanley Geller, president and CEO of Fun World, Inc. in Carle Place, NY has been named chairman of the board holding the responsibility for leading the strategic vision of the board of directors on behalf of the HIA membership.

Joining Geller is Marc Beige, president of Rubie’s Costume Company, and Scott Emmerman, president of sales of InCharacter Costumes in California, who will serve as co-vice chairmen.

Joe Anton, president of Disguise, will be treasurer and Steve Cohen, vice president of The Paper Magic Group will serve as secretary.

Lastly, Stephen Stanley, executive vice president of Halloween & Seasonal, is immediate past chairman.

“The board brings a wide variety of experience and leadership to the HIA, its members and the industry,” said Geller. “HIA is fortunate to have enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to further the goals of the association.”

This term, the board of directors plans to address new government regulations, explore developing industry standards, grow membership to engage all manufacturers in the Halloween industry and more. Additionally, the board has revised HIA’s dues structure making it more affordable for smaller manufacturers.
