(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). As Shapeez launches its new, completely redesigned website, it also announced it is going ahead with a long version of its new Demee, demi cup bra.
The long version of the Demee, which will be available in the fall, will descend to the waist. Like all the company’s products, it is based on the patented Shapeez design that eliminates the look of bra bulges and back fat, while at the same time providing slimming and shaping benefits.
The long version of the Demee will not have the front clasp that is provided with the short version of the bra.
Both versions feature re-designed cups that provide lift and make both true push-up bras. Both Demee versions feature lace trim across the top and come in nude and black.
Staci Berner, founder and designer, said the creation of the Demee resulted from requests from consumers, and represented the “sexy side” of Shapeez. She explained that with both bras, “You can wear a lower cut dress without the bra being seen. Low V-neck or low button tops.” Alternatively, the wearer could choose to allow some of the lace detail to be seen. “It is a date bra. It has a sexier feel. It is a cleavage bras that goes up to a double D.”
One reason Shapeez has created a completely new web platform is that it plans to accelerate the introduction of new products in the near future. The company already offers a dozen bras and shapers, ranging from its original Ultimate, to the Tankee Slip to its recently-introduced Sportee sports bra. And while not revealing any details, CFO David Berner said “we have identified a number of areas where we can expand the collection and provide solutions for consumers.” This means new products as well as possible new colors for existing products.
“The new website is completely data driven,” David Berner explained. “Adding new products and SKU’s to the site is one, two, three. We can put up new product and bring it to market very quickly. And it’s very easy to manage and maintain now.”
The new website is also “completely mobile compatible. You can place an order on any device!”
“Every few weeks we will be tickling our user base with new features, online help, a fit specialist, Staci’s Tips,” continued David Berner, speaking about the new site. “We will continue to stir the pot.” The company also plans a variety of web advertising initiatives to drive business to the revised site.
