(Filed Under wholesale Basics News). Florida-based lingerie brand Bia Bella will be heading in a new and simpler direction with many of its fall 2009 launches, said Eliana Medaglia, Bia Bella vice president, and Carolina Garcia, president of the company.
According Medaglia, and Garcia, Bia Bella will be adding basics to its line for the first time, which will be available in nude, black and white. Designs have not yet been drawn up, but the ideas for the fall season's products are very much alive and will soon become tangible.
Currently, Bia Bella bras retail at a range of $40 to $50, and according to Medaglia, the basics will have a lesser price point than original company designs. "We want to keep the same quality and we are working on lowering our costs so we can lower the price points," she said.
Although the designs will be simpler, they will still have some embellishments, such as lace, which have become characteristic of the frilly, girly and flirty lingerie brand.
The company decided to head in this direction due to the economic climate, they said, noticing that women are leaning toward simpler and more comfortable things.
In addition to the basics, the company will also be adding sexy bras, panties, corsets and babydolls. Styles will begin shipping this summer.
