(Filed Under wholesale Costume News). The Halloween & Party Expo is gearing up for a move from Houston to New Orleans for its 2015 show, scheduled Feb. 6-9 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.
The show reports that the new floor plan is nearly 90 percent sold, with new exhibitors signing up weekly and 19 partner hotels quickly filling blocks of discounted rooms for attendees.
The Halloween & Party Expo’s Jonathan Erwin said the new location is a perfect fit for the event, and visitors will be impressed with the convention’s proximity to the city’s best attractions.
“We are thrilled about moving to a new city, and especially one with such a great reputation for its celebratory spirit and fun,” Erwin said. “The facilities and hotel options are phenomenal, and their proximity to areas like the French Quarter will really add to the excitement during the show.”
In addition to the French Quarter, the convention center is also close to Bourbon Street, Harrah’s Casino and the city’s revitalized Warehouse District.
In addition to the mutual support from organizations across the Halloween, fantasy costume and party industries, the Halloween & Party Expo has also earned the endorsement of the Balloon Council for its 2015 event.
“The Balloon Council is highly respected in the industry for their efforts to educate and promote the value and safe handling of balloons to consumers and regulators,” Erwin said. “We are thrilled to receive this support and appreciate the Balloon Council’s dedication to the industry and the expo.”
