(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). The OffPrice Show announced upticks in the number of retailers and net square feet at its latest trade event, held Feb. 16-19, 2014, at the Sands Expo adjacent to the Venetian and Palazzo hotels in Las Vegas.
The Milwaukee, Wis.-headquartered apparel trade show, which features exhibitors carrying a variety of innovative and branded products at up to 70 percent below wholesale costs, said attendance climbed above 8,000 retailers for the first time in over six years — a net gain of 6 percent over its February 2013 show.
Additionally, the show’s floor space expanded to 132,000 net square feet, a gain of several thousand feet of space over OffPrice’s 2013 shows.
The number of “Cash & Carry” exhibitors increased as well, due to its new space in the Venetian Ballrooms. Sixty-eight Cash & Carry booths awaited buyers this year, up from 53 in August 2013.
“Our brand has seen historic growth lately,” OffPrice CEO Stephen Krogulski said in a statement. “More retailers, big and small, from all 50 states and around the globe, are discovering how a trip to the OffPrice show can fuel their store’s growth and increase revenue. Great products from nearly every apparel category can be found at OffPrice.”
Exhibitors also had a positive response to OffPrice’s latest show.
“This show has been our best show ever; we’ve been growing and growing,” India Boutique Inc. sales CEO Gitu Mehta reported. “This year, with the placement of our booth, we had a tremendous response. At 8 a.m., as soon as the show opens up, our booth is packed. Day one, we were here till 8 p.m. writing orders.”
