(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). Sales sales fell “slightly over 12%” at Intimacy in 2013 while at its parent, the large Belgian firm Van de Velde, which operates several international retailers and brands, sales rose by 0.3%.
The wholesaler reported “in the first half, there was a decline of 2.0%, in the second half there is an increase of 2.2%” for the company as a whole. Company brands include Marie Jo, PrimaDonna and Andres Sarda.
According to Van de Velde “the retail turnover of Rigby & Peller in the UK grows by 0.6% in local currency and decreases by about 4% in euro due a weaker British Pound.”
Meanwhile, in 2013, the company reported “an increase of 13.3% in the retail turnover at Rigby & Peller (the former Oreia) in Continental Europe, thanks to a strong like-for-like growth in Germany (6.5%) and a number of new stores (Cologne, Munich, Copenhagen). The retail turnover at Donker stores for the period April-December 2013 contributes for an amount of 3.5 million euros.”
Complete results for the fiscal year 2013 will be announced on February 24th.
