Tani: Luxury Men’s Brand Launches in U.S.

(Filed Under wholesale Men's Underwear News). Quality men’s underwear line Tani, which has over 300 branded stores in China and distribution in more than 20 countries worldwide, has launched Tani USA, bringing its innovative styles to American consumers.

Tani has four brand cornerstones — Tailored, Athletic, Natural and Innovative — and aims to do the opposite of mass-market brands that diminish quality, working with European companies to get unique, superior fabrics for its five collections: Everyday Silk Touch, Air Fitness, Fresh Cooling Performance, Swiss Cotton and Luxuriance. The result? “Tani is better quality than Hanro,” according to Tani USA President Adam Dinkes.

Everyday Silk Touch features 94 percent micro modal air fabric, where other underwear companies usually use only 50 percent, Dinkes said.

“It will look at feel the same in six months after you buy it,” Dinkes told BODY Magazine. “With the majority of other products, this is not going to happen.”

Additionally, Tani has its own manufacturing facility to keep costs down and quality high, with products made on the finest available Austrian knitting machines. Even the elastic with high-quality, with Dinkes assuring “no shredding.”

“The fit is contouring, without bagging, but it is not too snug. It almosts feels like there is nothing there,” Dinkes said. “The fabric has amazing stretch and recovery.”

Styles include briefs, boxer briefs, button boxers and leggings, tanks, and short-sleeve T-shirts, with standard colors like black, white and heather grey and limited edition seasonal colors and patterns. Bottoms retail for $40 to $45, with a $20 to $23 wholesale price point. Tani is available at as well as select online boutiques and high-end retailers.
