Triumph: Lingerie Store In Westfield, March ’14

(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). Triumph, the giant intimate apparel producer and retailer, is continuing its expansion in the U.S. with a retail store scheduled to open March, 2014 in the Westfield Garden State Plaza shopping center. According to a statement from the center, the Triumph lingerie store will be part of its new “premium fashion district.”

Other fashion and beauty stores in the new section will include Tory Burch, Vince Camuto, Maje, Sandro, Scotch & Soda, A/X Armani Exchange, Ivivva by lululemon, Invicta, Robin’s Jean, Urban Outfitters, Kiko Make Up Milano, Lush, Havaianas and Forever Flawless.

Last summer Triumph opened its first two U.S. stores, both in New York. One is located in the Walt Whitman Mall in Huntington Station, the other in the Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City. At a company event in mid-July executives said a store was also planned for SoHo in Manhattan.

Founded in Germany 125 years ago, Triumph sells lingerie worldwide under its own brand and under private label. It also operates a number of its own stores, as well as selling to department stores, specialty stores and internet retailers. In the U.K., one executive told us there are seven Triumph stores. In addition to the Triumph label, the privately-held company also owns such brands as Amo, HOM, Sloggi and Valisere. In 2010 the company had an annual sales of 2.2 billion Swiss francs (roughly $2.3 billion). Overall, the company claims “close to 50 subsidiaries serving 120 markets and employing over 35,000 people worldwide.”
