Cosabella Creates New Collection With IntiMint

(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). Cosabella has created an “exclusive” new collection of lingerie, sleepwear, active-wear and swim wear for IntiMint, the online intimates retailer. While a press release from the retailer Monday stated “The entire IntiMint by Cosabella collection...will launch February 2014” many items are already available for sale online.

At the start of this week we found approximately 36 panty, 21 bra and 37 swim offerings available, as well as several sleepwear choices. Prices range from $19.98 for some panties and thongs on up to $145.98 for the Jia robe. A three-pack of Cosabella’s “Never Say Never” thongs are offered for $49.98 (or $16.66 per panty). The same three-pack (but in different colors) is sold in Cosabella’s own web store for $52.

IntiMint’s is the newest addition to a collection of online shops owned by Santa Monica-based parent company BeachMint. Other divisions include JewelMint, StyleMint and ShoeMint.

“With BeachMint, we are bringing the fast-fashion tech world into the traditional fashion calendar,” explained Guido Campello, Cosabella’s VP sales, branding and innovation. “We wanted to be among the first to showcase how great products, seasonal collections and a new brand could be born and fully developed in the digital universe. BeachMint’s technological expertise, especially in gathering members’ preferences, made our partnership a natural choice as it allows us insight into our consumers’ needs as we create the product.”

Although some of the lingerie pieces are clearly lifted directly from Cosabella’s existing collections, others have been, according to the press statement, “Developed in close collaboration between BeachMint’s merchandising team and Cosabella’s designers. The IntiMint by Cosabella collection combines Italian design and construction expertise with an effortless California esthetic. The collection will include a diverse assortment of fashion groups named for California locales as well as The Classics.”

“With 30 years experience creating luxury intimate apparel and a focus on innovative fabrics and fashion forward design, Cosabella is the perfect partner for our intimate apparel vertical,” declared BeachMint CEO Josh Berman. “We look forward to a long and productive relationship which will bring our members a greatly expanded collection of intimates and more, reflective of the style and unparalleled value they love from all our Mint brands.”
