Halloween Expo Moving To New Orleans in 2015

(Filed Under wholesale Costume News). The Halloween & Party Expo, which has been held for the past five years in Houston, will be moving to New Orleans February 6 – 9, 2015. The final event for Texas will be held January 25-28 2014 at the George R. Brown Convention Center.

“What a great fit it will be!” declared the expo announcement, “The Halloween & Party Expo is the international showcase for all things party, costume, and Halloween related, and New Orleans is one of the world’s top party and costuming cities. It is justifiably famous for its music and food festivals, and—of course— for Mardi Gras, but it is also a city full of people (and vampires, ghosts, pirates, etc.) who love to have fun on any given day of the week. Simply put, the Halloween & Party Expo and New Orleans are perfect for each other.”

The announcement continued, “Attendees at the 2015 show will even have the opportunity to get some extra bang for their travel buck, as Mardi Gras kick-off parades take place the opening and closing days of the show.”

Jonathan Erwin, an Expo spokesperson added, “We could not be more excited about bringing the show to New Orleans in 2015 and beyond. Houston’s been a wonderful home, and we love being there. But we feel like New Orleans will be a great change of pace, especially since it is such a perfect cultural fit for our industry. Plus, it has a great international airport, world-famous dining and nightlife, warm weather, and a ton of hotel options.”

According to the Expo announcement, in New Orleans “There are more than 20,000 hotel rooms near the [Convention Center] and close to all of the great action in New Orleans. Harrah’s Casino, Bourbon Street and the rest of the French Quarter, and the revitalized Warehouse District are all within one mile of the convention center, making a walk or cab ride a snap.”

Erwin added that suppliers who are interested in exhibiting in 2015 should start by exhibiting in 2014. “The Halloween & Party Expo offers priority in terms of securing booth locations to companies who have exhibited with us the year prior. We anticipate a lot of positive response to our move, so the best way to ensure a great booth in New Orleans is by reserving a booth for the final Houston show in 2014. You won’t regret your decision.”

The Halloween & Party Expo boasts that it “is the largest global show of its kind, highlighting thousands of products from the Halloween, party, fantasy costume and other similarly related industries. Attendees flock to the show from more than 63 countries worldwide to meet and network with industry professionals, attend an array of invaluable educational seminars, and preview the best and newest products from more than 350 exhibitors (1,400 booths) on the show floor and during the popular Saturday-night Halloween Costume Style Show.”

For the 2014 Expo in Houston, “the Haunted Attraction National Tradeshow and Conference (HAuNTcon) will also host their show during Expo dates at the George R. Brown Convention Center, allowing Expo attendees the opportunity to purchase a registration and attend a highly-regarded Haunt tradeshow.
