(Filed Under Fashion News). For young shapewear company Muse Creative Group, this year’s Curve New York was the perfect avenue for their entrance into the specialty market.
According to the company’s vice president of sales, Todd Alessandro, in addition to making a slew of contacts at the show, it was “great for our publicity.” They now have multiple orders from major department stores and speciality retailers, and several follow up appointments scheduled, particularly with South American, Canadian and European companies, that “should help get our name out there on the international level.”
He added: “as a young company we felt so supported by the show’s organizers, specifically Xavier. They were so helpful with everything from supplies to referrals, and treated us with as much trust as if we were a well-known company. I would recommend Curve to any start-up.”
His one criticism of the show was that they should revamp the tagging system so that “you will know by sight if someone is a manufacturer, retailer, or distributor.” He was quick to add that he plans on attending Curve in future years.
