(Filed Under wholesale Costume News). The 2014 Haunted Attraction National Tradeshow and Conference, or HAuNTcon, will be held Jan. 25-28 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston in conjunction with costume industry show leader the Halloween & Party Expo.
The two events will be held separately but concurrently in different areas of the convention center. Attendees paying for entrance to HAuNTcon will be able to attend the Halloween & Party Expo for free, as will certified retail buyers, and access is available to educational sessions and special events.
Halloween & Party Expo attendees who wish to participate in HAuNTcon activities can choose from a variety of combo admission packages and events that span the four-day conference, which commonly encompasses over 40 hours of workshops and seminars which cover topics from actor training and set building to marketing and business plans. The conference also features a “haunted garage sale,” a networking-focused costume ball and a trade show.
“Each event offers a unique perspective on Halloween, and being in the same center will enable us to maintain the integrity and character of each or our respective events while enhancing the overall experience of our attendees,” Jonathan Erwin of the Halloween & Party Expo said. “Bringing our industries, our buyers and our sellers together in one great location is a fantastic step for everyone and we look forward to being in Houston together.”
The Halloween & Party Expo commonly sees upward of 350 exhibitors and 6,500 buyers and attendees from more than 44 countries. To register or find more information, visit the event’s website at HalloweenPartyExpo.com.
